I am looking for some good Celtic music. If you have played the game Civilization 4 by Sid Meier…the theme song for the Celts is the style I am looking for.

celtic music that just makes you wanting to dance

I think just about all the music on Michael Flatleys Lord of the Dance CD done by Ronan Hardiman. But a band that has some good Irish music are the Wolfe Tones.

Show was October 25th in Charlotte, NC at the Ovens Auditorium. It may be a group called ‘Clannad’, but I’m not sure.

I haven’t seen the show but what are the lyrics that you remember in the song?

I remember there was a war movie, i think american war of independence or the civil war. It had a haunting celtic music. What is the name of that movie ?
The war that the movie depicted was an old war. Probably the war occurred in the 18th or the 19th century. The only thing that i remember about the movie was its brilliant celtic score. There was just one instance in the movie where this score was played. And it is not Braveheart.

To me, the only film that I recall would be the "The Last of the Mohicans" (1992 – French and Indian War). However, the entire score had a Celtic ‘feel’ to it.

Celtic music is the only genre I’ll usually buy off the rack without listening to beforehand because the vast majority of it I love. Around Christmas I bought MacCrimmon’s Revenge’s cd "Ecstasy". They are a Celtic band from Nova Scotia. I think it’s awesome.

i want the version that Mairead Nesbitt plays while she’s skipping around the stage. it sounds AMAZING!! i don’t mind if it’s in a book, but i’m not about to pay $40 for it. sorry. i love the way she plays but not enough to spend quite as much as i’ve found so far. please help me out! thanks!
