What other movies besides Titanic, Braveheart, Gangs of New York, The Departed, etc. use prominent Irish music or Celtic sound (ie. Uillean pipes, fiddle, whistle, etc.) or use it subtly? Thanks.

"The Secret of Roan Inish" has a wonderful soundtrack, mainly of traditional music.
Here’s the music over the closing credits:

I also enjoy Henry Mancini’s music for "The Molly Maguires".
Here’s a sample of it on YouTube:

The Chieftains’ music is used in the "Barry Lyndon" soundtrack. From Wikipedia: "The score also includes Irish folk music performed by The Chieftains. Another very famous piece in the soundtrack is called ‘Women of Ireland’ by Seán Ó Riada, played by The Chieftains."
Clannad supplied music for "Harry’s Game" though it’s more of a modern take on Irish music:

Episodes of "Robin of Sherwood" have been fitted together for several movies, including "The Swords of Weyland". Clannad did all of the ROS" soundtracks. Here’s the theme song, "The Hooded Man":

I love Irish/Celtic music, especially that played on traditional instruments. I myself play the bowed psaltery though I give the Celtic harp an occasional try. It’s unfortunate that the music isn’t used more often.
