Sam Beam (Iron and Wine) doesn’t sing about anti christian things. He sings about good things. You should listen to the lyrics instead of shunning anything thats not filled with Jesus or God. Good music can exist without mentioning either. If your son comes home wearing a Megadeth T-shirt and starts listening to heavy metal thats when I would start worrying. Open your mind and learn to appreciate things you may not understand!

I threw away my son’s Iron and Wines CD into the trash because I don’t want him listening to this realy wierd music. Next thing you know, my son is going to come home with a gross hippy beeard just because he saw the leed singer of Iron and Wines have one! But not in my house he ain’t! As long as he lives under MY roof and abides by MY rules, there is abolsutely no place for Iron and Wines and wierd hippy music in my Christian home!

I’m in agreement with pinkandyellowpie here. Good music can be appreciated in all music genres. It shouldn’t matter what genre or category it is in. It’s called musical maturity.
