In a bygone era, adaptations of music from (then) semi-exotic or exotic shores tended to be stereotypical or parody. It is indeed very refreshing to see a song I grew up with as a very young child in Jamaica (1960′s) taken to such wonderful heights with this entertaining and colourful rendition. Congratulations to the singing group (especially the lead), the conductor, and the embled musicians.

I thought it was a pretty good take on this song. Let’s face it, we’re not looking for patois perfection, but they did a pretty good job, and their harmonies were good. Plus I dig the guy who fling whey him tie!! He was feeling it.
